Accounts team member

Accounts & Audit Senior (Part or Newly Qualified ACCA, ACA/ QBE)

Salary negotiable depending on experience & qualifications

We are now seeking to broaden our internal expertise through the appointment of at least 1 more member in our accounts and audit compliance team – we are looking for an experienced accountant with robust audit skills.
We have an exceptional range of clients, good reputation and a friendly team. With huge growth potential, this will be an excellent opportunity for the right person to truly make their mark. The role will suit someone coming from a 2 – 4 Partner or similar sized Practice.
These positions call for candidates who have a positive approach to client service and are fastidious about attention to detail.

Day to Day Responsibilities include:
• Involvement in the planning, fieldwork and completion of audit assignments, supporting the audit manager and RI (up to 50% of role)
• Preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and returns for limited companies and groups
• Preparation of management accounts
• Involvement in other compliance matters such as VAT returns
• Preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders, draft income tax computations
• Completion of ad hoc assignments to meet client needs
• Development of strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Training and supervision of more junior members of staff

The Ideal Candidates
You will:
• have a minimum practice experience of 5 years (working at audit senior level for 2+ years)
• be experienced in audit work
• be AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified, or Part Qualified
• come from a 2-4 Partner or similar sized general practice
• possess good IT & communication skills
• be able to work to strict deadlines and within budgets
• be able to work well in a team and show initiative
